YOUR COLLECTION / THE NEXT STEP
Specify the fabric before the garment.
Fabric composition and GSM describe different parts of a material. Composition identifies its fibre blend; GSM measures weight per square metre. Neither alone describes stretch, texture, drape or suitability for your garment.
Provide both figures when you have them, together with a swatch or visual reference. Discuss the material with the team during sampling so the fabric and garment specification can be considered together.
Discuss your garment briefBefore you start.
Can I choose my fabric composition and GSM?
Yes. Custom fabric development based on composition and GSM is a Rastify Gears capability. Share the material specification or fabric sample requirements with the team.
Is a higher GSM always better?
GSM describes fabric weight, not quality on its own. Composition, construction, finish and the intended garment also matter. Discuss your intended use and sample requirements when developing the material.
What should I send for a manufacturing quote?
Send your garment type, reference images or tech pack, fabric composition and GSM requirements, size range, artwork and intended quantity. Include your destination and any target dates so the team can discuss your project.
